A Whitsundays woman in her 50s had a lucky escape after her car caught on fire on the corner of a busy road.
A car caught fire on Shute Harbour Road in Cannon Valley on December 18, 2023.
Emergency services were called to the incident at the corner of Shute Harbour Rd and Brandy Creek Rd just before 11am.
Airlie Beach Fire and Rescue station manager Rees May said the woman had been aware there was an issue with the vehicle and got out on time.
