Police are investigating a shocking act by a passer by after a young child was hit by a car on the Gold Coast shortly after school broke up.
The 11-year-old boy was hit by a white Hyundai Accent while crossing the road near the junction of Central St and Usher Ave in Labrador at 3.15pm.
Following the accident the driver of the car got out of the vehicle to render assistance until ambulance crews arrived.
