Of course, history records the Evoq did not make its way to Australia. Nor did the Cadillac XLR, a two-seater convertible that used the Evoq concept as its basis. It launched in the US in 2003. And while many of its styling cues came from the Evoq, under the skin, the XLR shared its platform with the Chevrolet Corvette, and even shared the iconic sports car’s production line in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
