Car ploughs into Coast fire station after crash

A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a fire station on the southern Gold Coast. WHAT WE KNOW

Initial reports suggest two cars collided on Coolangatta Rd about 12.15pm Monday, with one of the vehicles continuing off the road and into the side of the Bilinga fire station.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the driver was initially trapped in their vehicle, but was freed within a few minutes.
