MG’s popular HS plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), later renamed +EV, has been recalled due to a fault that could cause a fire inside the SUV.
The manufacturing defect pertains to a nut located under the interior carpet that could detach over time due to vibrations and “could cause the wiring beneath the floor to overheat and it may result in a fire inside the vehicle”, according to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) release.
