Gold Coast residents hiring security guards to protect properties

Queensland’s police commissioner admits there is “merit” in residents hiring their own private security guards to combat the state’s growing crime crisis.

Sunrise reports that many Queenslanders are now teaming up with neighbours to pay security guards to patrol their streets in an effort to stop break-ins and car thefts.
