The Electric Vehicle Council estimates there will be about 140,000 pure EVs on Australian roads by the end of this year. They now account for about 8 per cent of new vehicle sales.
Meanwhile, the introduction of fringe benefit tax (FBT) concessions for EVs and the mooted emissions cap on new vehicles has increased momentum.
