Luxury car sales boom may be over, warns Bentley

When money was cheap and the rich had pandemic savings to spend, luxury car makers couldn’t get their vehicles out the factory doors’ fast enough.

Now, however, the boom in sales may be over.

Bentley has warned that a repeat of its record-breaking earnings last year is unlikely after orders in the first half of the year slipped. Deliveries fell 4pc to 7,096 and sales slipped slightly to €1.68bn (£1.3bn) from €1.71bn.
