Luxury car stolen, owner assaulted, in early morning Queensland break-and-enter

A Maserati was stolen and destroyed in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Queensland in a terrifying break-and-enter.

The owners called police about 6am to report someone breaking in to their home at Helensvale on the Gold Coast.

One of the residents was assaulted during the ordeal before the offenders drove off in the Maserati.
