Police tried to stop the mother of Brisbane Broncos player Payne Haas shortly before she crashed into a silver Mercedes, leaving three dead.
At about 5pm on Friday, police were conducting local patrols in the Gold Coast hinterland when they spotted a black Mercedes SUV “driving erratically” down Bonogin Road.
The vehicle was driven by Brisbane Broncos star Payne Haas’ mother, Uiatu “Joan” Taufua.
