A two-year-old girl has died after being found unconscious in a hot car during a family gathering on New Year’s Eve at a rural property west of Mackay. A crime scene has been declared.
The tragedy appears to have happened during a family gathering at a home outside of Eungella, about 80km west of Mackay.
The girl was found unresponsive in a car at a home on Bee Creek Rd about 2pm on Sunday.
