Polestar quits Australia’s Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries

EV producer Polestar is now the second company to quit Australia’s Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.

The company is citing frustrations over the lobby’s campaign against Labor’s vehicle efficiency standard.

The Volvo-owned brand cancelled its membership with the FCIA on Friday, just one day after Tesla.

It says the FCIA’s claim that Labor’s efficiency standards policy would increase ute prices was overblown.

The Coalition has criticised the policy, saying it will hurt consumers.
