Tesla has paid $155,460 in penalties after the Australian Competition and Consumers Commission issued it with 10 infringement notices for allegedly failing to comply with mandatory safety standards.

The infringements related specifically to Tesla key fobs and door sills.

The ACCC alleged Tesla had not conducted required safety tests before supplying three of its fob models and two of its illuminated sill models and was in breach of Australian Consumer Law.
