Two men have been caught on camera fleeing from a suspected stolen Mercedes in the Wyndham suburb of Tarneit.
Footage shot by a passerby shows the pair frantically leaping from the luxury vehicle on Edmund Drive as flames leap out from underneath.
One of the men is then seen leaning into the passenger seat to retrieve an unknown item, before jumping back in fright as the fire begins to flare.
