An elderly woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle near a busy Gold Coast yacht club.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident on MacArthur Parade at 4.40pm.
A police spokesperson said its forensic crash unit was on its way to the scene, while diversions were in place.
